Unlike an impact gun or a long torque wrench, the HYTORC LION is designed specifically for controlled, repeatable torque. It's programmed with Porsche's factory center-lock procedure, tightening the nut to 600 Nm (443 ft-lbs), backing it off 60°, then re-tightening it to the final 600 Nm specification. The result is a precise, repeatable installation every time.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that a high-powered impact gun can accomplish the same thing. It can't. Impact guns deliver force - not measured torque - and can damage expensive center-lock hardware or result in improper installation.
